Thibault in a nutshell...

Passionate about sports, Thibault was introduced to osteopathy at an early age, first as a patient. In fact, it was while seeking treatment for dysfunctions and injuries related to high-level contact sports, particularly hockey and rugby, that he discovered this approach. After completing a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Graduate Diploma in Climate Change, he ultimately chose a different path: becoming an osteopath. His goal was to have as positive an impact on people's health as his own osteopaths had on his.

Today, he continues to advance his clinical expertise through a graduate-level professional development program in osteopathy at UQAM, the first and currently the only university in Quebec to offer academic training in osteopathy. This education enables him to work within the musculoskeletal, cranial, fascial, and visceral fields of osteopathic practice.

In addition, each treatment starts with a thorough whole-person assessment guided by evidence-informed clinical reasoning. This process includes differential diagnosis, red flag screening, and continuous monitoring of developments in manual therapy research. As a result, the focus is on identifying and treating the root cause of the condition rather than merely alleviating symptoms.

Alongside his clinical practice, Thibault serves as a Lieutenant in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve. Through this role, he has developed a strong sense of discipline that he brings directly into patient care, particularly through precision, adherence to established protocols, and consistency in managing complex cases. This experience helps shape a methodical, rigorous approach focused on delivering high-quality care.

I chose to become an osteopath because osteopathic care played a pivotal role in my own health while I was competing in high-level sports such as hockey and rugby. Today, I strive to offer my patients that same positive experience through a rigorous, evidence-informed approach and a genuine commitment to listening and understanding their needs.

Plan for the coming years

I am currently enrolled in an advanced osteopathy training program at UQAM, where I continue to refine my clinical reasoning and assessment skills. In parallel, I am further developing my expertise in sports osteopathy at STADIUM PhysiOsteo, providing care to athletes as well as individuals from the broader community.
