Valérie in a nutshell...
Valérie joined the STADIUM team in 2010 after passing the national certification exam of the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA). She later completed her training in Swedish massage. Always eager to expand her knowledge, she began studying osteopathy at the Collège d’études ostéopathiques de Montréal (CEO) in 2012 and recently obtained the title of osteopath.
Sports event coverage
Her extensive sports knowledge has allowed her to work as a therapist for the Canadian Junior Speed Skating Team from 2010 to 2012 and as a therapist for the Canadian Amateur Boxing Team from 2012 to 2016.
n this role, she has participated in several major events, including:
- Women's World Boxing Championships, Astana, Kazakhstan, 2016
- Boxing Olympic Qualifications, Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2016
- Olympic Games, London, England, 2012
She is also the head therapist for athletes at Collège Édouard-Montpetit, where she develops expertise in various sports such as football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, and hockey.
Sports practiced
Passionate about sports, Valérie practiced speed skating for nearly 15 years and was a member of the Short Track Speed Skating National Team in 2006-2007. She is also an avid runner and was part of the Concordia University Cross-Country team in 2008.
