At the STADIUM clinic, many professionals have developed an expertise in the treatment of head, neck and jaw pain. Our team of osteopaths, physiotherapists, acupuncturists and nutritionists work together, with an integrative approach, to optimize your treatment plan.
We also developed a partnership with the Montreal ATM clinic, a group of professionals dedicated to the treatment of TMJ dysfunction.
What are the symptoms of TMJ?
They are numerous and could include:
Restrictions or ‘’clic’’ in jaw opening or closing
Pain when chewing foods
Treatment of temporo-mandibular joint dysfunctions (TMJD)
The TMJ dysfunction can be treated in osteopathy, physiotherapy and acupuncture. Following your first appointment, the appropriate professional will be identified.
Nutritionists, psychotherapists and/or psychologists may also be involved in your treatment plan. Ligamentous, muscular, postural dysfunction of the articular disc, as well as associated cervical lesions, will be treated using a global approach. Several aspects of health will be assessed, including lifestyle (activities, sleep, diet, stress levels, etc.) and efforts will be devoted to optimizing the healing potential.
