Florence Bacon - Intern in osteopathy, certified Athletic Therapist

  • National Certification with the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association (CATA 2018), Certified Athletic Therapist Accreditation.

Florence in a few lines...

In 2018, Florence completed her Bachelor of Exercise Science with a minor in Athletic Therapy at Concordia University. Since then, she has worked with several sports teams, most notably American football, hockey, and soccer. She has also worked in the field of fitness, highlighting her therapeutic skills for injury prevention, postural strengthening, and physical preparation.

Having a strong interest in manual therapy as well as understanding the cause of her clients' pain, Florence began her osteopathic training at the ‘’Centre Ostéopathique du Québec’’ in 2018. To this day, she continues to deepen her knowledge to obtain the final diploma in osteopathy.

In her therapeutic practice, Florence wishes to improve the quality of life of her clients by giving them better mobility, helping them to continue their activities and sports for which they have a passion. She also gives great importance to injury prevention, prescribing simple exercises that reduce pain in the long term. Her studies in osteopathy made her discover a great interest in family osteopathy. In addition to her extensive experience in sports, Florence works with a variety of clientele ranging from newborns to children, pregnant women, adults and the elderly.

The desire to help people led me to undertake my studies in athletic therapy and osteopathy. Since then, I have been supporting people to improve their quality of life by making them more mobile. My passion for learning allows me to be constantly evolving.

Henry Schein Scholarship for Academic Excellence – 2017, during her final year at Concordia University.

Plans for the upcoming years

To continue her studies in osteopathy and obtain her diploma in 2024.

Sports and leisure activities

Florence practices downhill skiing, hiking, yoga and fitness training.
